Endeavour towards artistic freedom — Foster across diverse cultures

Founded in December 2020, Association for Myanmar Contemporary Arts (AMCA) is a dynamic and artist-driven organization dedicated to the advancement of contemporary arts and cultural knowledge in Myanmar. Since its inception, AMCA has been deeply committed to fostering collaboration, engagement, and partnerships within the arts and cultural community. Over its years of existence, AMCA has ardently upheld a set of resolute missions and visions. As an evolving organization, AMCA operates collaboratively with no single director or leader; rather, core members assume various roles and responsibilities based on their expertise and the needs of the organization.

Travel Grants for Artists

The Travel Grants program is based on a set of common objectives, jointly developed by the hub partners: Mekong Cultural Hub, Association for Myanmar Contemporary Arts (Myanmar), Heritage Space (Vietnam), and Trees Music & Art (Taiwan). The priority is to support mobility for practitioners within the Mekong region and Taiwan. It is also part of the realization stepping toward the vision of the Art & Society Hubs Network – Asia that arts and culture have strategic importance in developing Asia’s future. Each Hub Partner’s program is designed to support outward travel for people from their respective country.
